Marketing is Shifting Again: What Your Customers No Longer Care About

If you’re a business owner looking to stay ahead of the curve, you need to stay in the know about what your customers no longer care about when it comes to consuming your marketing content, and considering investing in your business.

This is important to understand so you do NOT push away potential customers:

Starting with, generic tips with Google worthy info.

Yeah, that’s not cutting it anymore.

Your audience has already done their due diligence and knows the generic information you’re putting out. By putting out the same information they already know, they’re not seeing you as the expert or a credible business.

They want actionable insights (meaning things that can try now that will WORK) not just random tips that leave them scratching their heads.

So, drop the generic and get specific.

Show them you understand their unique struggles and offer solutions in a unique way that actually works.

Next is freebies/lead magnets.

I have a guide myself on creating lead magnets (because the information is there if you need it sis, hey), BUT where freebies used to be the golden ticket to capturing leads, NOT anymore.

More and more consumers are moving away from giving their information in exchange for information (most feel isn’t even useful).

Believed to be because of the “digital marketing – digital product selling” trend currently. Everyone and their mama is offering a freebie these days, and your audience is over it.

A lot of customers are giving fake/inactive emails, don’t check their emails, or you’re not sending GOOD ones.

They want real value, something that’s worth their time and effort. So, Make sure your offers are irresistible and genuinely helpful, not just another freebie cluttering up their inbox.

Speaking of emails…

Let’s be real, most people’s inboxes are overflowing with emails they NEVER open.

If your emails are just more noise, they’re getting ignored.

Focus on creating subject lines that excite your audience enough to open your emails, emails that are engaging, personal, and packed with value and aren’t too frequent so they don’t feel like spam.

Yes, you heard me. Yes, we know how fashionnova markets their business, we get it…but that’s fashionnova, your audience doesn’t want 50 emails a week from you.

Make them look forward to hearing from you, not reaching for the unsubscribe or spam button.

Last but not least, stop trying SO HARD to be “professional.” Yes, Professionalism has its place, but in today’s world, relatability is key.

Your customers value a relatable brand over brands that are too technical, professional, and are giving… I got credientials so I’m better than every other business and you should shop with me.

They don’t care.

That’s why the influencer marketing industry is transforming and more content creators are getting grouped with them. Personality + Relatiablity comes first baby (but yes, you still need to know your sh*).

Your customers are looking to invest in brands that feel authentic and real (without you having to say that).

They want to see the person behind the brand, not a polished facade. Be yourself, share your story, and connect with them on a personal level but in a unique way so you can stand out.

That’s what will make them loyal fans.

Alright, SO….let’s recap on how to keep your audience hooked:

Get personal. Share your life, experiences, struggles, and triumphs. Let them see the real you.

Offer real value. Make sure every tip, every freebie, and every email is packed with actionable advice that they can ACTUALLY use.

Stay engaging. Keep your communication lively and interesting. Your customers should look forward to your content.

Be authentic. Drop the corporate mask and let your true self shine through. That’s what will set you apart.

If you’re ready to transform your marketing and truly connect with your audience, then we need to have a conversation sis!

I’m here to help you bridge that gap between where you are and where you want to be when it comes to marketing and branding your business period.

When The Truth Get's Twisted & You're Left To Drown

It’s incredibly exhausting when you’re drowning, flailing, barely keeping your head above water, and people can’t see it or don't want to.  Like you’re out here fighting for your life, and instead of throwing you a lifeline, they’re either telling you to figure it out on your own or asking why you didn’t save them . Like… how? I can’t even save myself. And let’s not pretend this isn’t a thing .  How many people battling addiction, struggling with mental health, or even unaliving themselves were treated this same way?   Does anyone ever wonder how they got to that point or did they just detach and judge them?  Were they left to fend for themselves because, apparently, helping them wasn’t anyone’s “ responsibility .”  If it’s not our moral obligation to help each other—especially the people closest to us—then what’s the point anyway? Yes, there are situations people need to handle on their own.  Yes, there are lessons they’ll only learn through struggle....

Sis, It’s Time to Rebuild and Step Into That Confidence You Deserve

Over the last few years, life has been giving me lessons I didn’t even ask for. I was married for five years (we’d been together even longer), and recently, my husband and I decided to part ways. I’m not gonna lie—this new chapter has been uncomfortable. Like, really uncomfortable.  But it’s also been the kind of discomfort that forces you to grow.  For so long, I felt like I wasn’t fully me in that relationship. Now? I’m rediscovering who I am. Which I guess is perfect timing because I’ll be 30 next year.   I’m focused on rebuilding and showing up for myself again. 🫶🏽✨ And let me tell you, it feels so good.  I’m starting to see myself in the mirror and recognize the woman I’ve always been.  If you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or like you’ve lost yourself, sis, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too, and I’m here to help you find your way back to you.

Would You Take Your Own Advice? Be Honest.

You ever notice how people will give advice like it’s the key to life, but when you ask them if they’d follow it in your shoes, they get quiet real quick?  It’s like they’ve got all the answers until the spotlight’s on them  and it’s giving ‘Do as I say, not as I do.’  And, honestly, I’ve been there too. I'm no better. I’ve had those moments where I’ve given advice I wouldn’t even take myself.  But self-reflection teaches you a lot about how and why you give advice and why sometimes, we need to check ourselves. Let's unpack that!
